Re: Compatability with Toon Boom products

I guess a plugin wouldn't do it, since everything in TVPaint (all effects, transforms etc.) are based on the idea to change pixels. Vectorgraphics need a completely different "treatment"

Re: UPDATE?

I'm really happy to see there is a new version (so people still working on updates) and the fact that the standard version is finally available in 64bit is really great, but except from this the update really seems a bit disappointing if you consider that it took nearly two years (one year and ten m...

Re: Cintiq 13" over 21.5"

I used a 12WX and now using a Cintiq Companion 2 (13") and a 22HD. The 12WX was nearly unusable, which was the reason I sold it. The problem wasn't the size for me, but the resolution. If I had some toolbars on the screen (or a timeline) it occupied a big chunk of the screen. I use the Companion in ...

Re: Animated paper textures

+1 from me. The current paper system works well with stillframes, but it gives away the illusion quite fast if you watch it in motion.

Re: Your animation progress - what's your preferred way?

Looking for some inspiration on how to animate my characters and trying to figure out what's the best options. When you're mid animating, like doing the inbetweens and keyframes, do you draw all body parts at once (like hair, hands, etc), or do you separate them into different layers? Or do you do ...

Re: Dual Screen - how to create the ideal set up?

If any of the TVPaint-team members happens to visit this forum in the next few months they maybe can correct me, but as far as I know the problem is that the base architecture of TVPaint is really old (and gets rewritten right now?), so the whole software exists only in one continuous window, unlike...

Re: scale/re-size images without blurring of line quality

I could't find the post, but I'm pretty sure somewhere here in the forum someone from the TVPaint team mentioned, that Photoshop actually has some superior transforming, cause even if it's not a smart layer it handles layers as kind of vector layers, with a bitmap mapped to it (which doesn't make se...

Known Incorrect sRGB profile

I rendered a PNG sequence with alpha channel from After Effects. When I'm trying to import it in TVPaint I get this error message and TVPaint crashes
Bildschirmfoto 2019-06-21 um 11.49.25.png
Bildschirmfoto 2019-06-21 um 11.49.25.png (13.63 KiB) Viewed 1734 times

The PNG is rendered at 8bit and uses this color profile: sRGB IE61966-2.1 (which is set by default).

Re: JSON Import JSX Script doesn't work in AE CC 2019

Yea, this is something which would be very important to me soon again, but it seems there is little to none support in this forum by the TVPaint-team anymore, since a few people left.
